In theory I’d like to write like this too – taking time and real effort to make a good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and never seem to get something done.data recovery irvine cahttp://www.diskdoctors.com/california-lab.aspnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3675340046469703224.post-62678946497182904172012-01-30T08:10:35.088-08:002012-01-30T08:10:35.088-08:00This comment has been removed by the author.Wayne Kernochanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12662540362928885168noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3675340046469703224.post-56813119217737359342012-01-30T08:08:57.480-08:002012-01-30T08:08:57.480-08:00@Matthew: you are entirely correct, and I consider...@Matthew: you are entirely correct, and I considered that when I wrote the piece. My experience in dealing with not only IT buyers but also vendors is that if you say "you're implementing an extension of a methodology with supporting tools that do so much more than traditional that they essentially form a new technology," the reader is outside his or her comfort zone. Methodology is company-culture stuff, and to be done by the CEO. Technology is stuff that we put in for immediate goals, and are amazed to learn that it changes company culture. In this case, the agile-development methodology, if you've gotten far enough for CD, has already changed the "way of doing things enough" that just putting in the tools should automagically bring the changes in methodology and culture with it. That's my guess, anyway.

It may be that my "little white lie" is not the way to go in pushing CD. I just feel that if we don't present it in soothing terms, CD will get delayed indefinitely. The choice for me is between no implementation of CD -- we're changing culture outside IT! Run away! Run away! -- and implementation of CD that has a reasonable shot at achieving the full potential effect anyway.

We'll see who's right.
